Founder's Day 2008
City ends 2nd birthday celebration

As dozens of Brownie troops, creative handmade floats and marching bands walked down State Bridge Road for the 2nd annual Founders Day Parade, Dec. 6, Johns Creek said goodbye to its city-wide, week-long celebration of its incorporation for another year.
Girl Scout Troop 3415 from Wilson Creek Elementary School won 3rd place in the Dec. 6 Founders Day Parade float competition for their nod to recycling, while children of city employees wished everyone a Happy Founders Day!
Second graders at Ocee Elementary School greeted Council Member Ivan Figueroa with a 'Happy Birthday' message on his Dec. 3 visit for a Founders Day book reading.
More than 100 children made clay snowmen at the Founders Day Kids Workshop at the Johns Creek Arts Center Dec. 2.
