Founders Day Parade means rerouting traffic Dec. 6

Various portions of State Bridge Road from Medlock Crossing Parkway to Kimball Bridge Road will be closed between 8 am and noon for the City of Johns Creek Founders Day Parade December 6.

Parade planners are staggering closure times along the 1.3-mile route to minimize the impact to area residences and businesses.

The closures along State Bridge are as follows:

• East Morton to West Morton, 8 am-noon
• West Morton to Jones Bridge Road, 9 am-noon
• Intersection with Jones Bridge Road (both northbound and southbound lanes), 9:45 am-noon
• Jones Bridge Road to Kimball Bridge Road, 9:45 am-noon
• Morton to Medlock Crossing Parkway, 9:45 am-noon

Closures include all side streets accessing State Bridge Road. The following detours are recommended:
