Johns Creek holds Police Job Fair

Johns Creek will host a Police Officer Job Fair on Saturday, February 9 from 9 am to 4 pm at its new Police Headquarters, 11445 Johns Creek Parkway, Johns Creek, GA 30097.

The newly incorporated city in Metro-Atlanta is launching its first Police Department in late April 2008 and this Fair is specifically to recruit officers into the Lateral Transfer Program.

  • Candidates must have two years of full-time sworn law enforcement experience, including at least one year of experience as a Patrol Officer.

  • Candidates must be employed as a full-time Law Enforcement Officer currently or within the previous 24 months and have a valid Georgia Peace Officers Standard Training Certification.

Lateral Transfer Applicants should complete the application process in advance and bring their completed, notarized application to the Fair. NOTE: Applications cannot be completed at the Fair.

Chief of Police Ed Densmore, members of the Police Command Staff, the City Manager, Deputy City Manager and Human Resources Manager will be available to answer questions, along with benefits representatives.

Refreshments, informational handouts and tours of the new police facility will also be available.
