"Founders Day 2007" will be filled with fun family activities throughout the day, beginning with a 10 am parade down State Bridge Road (aerial map), emceed by Karyn Greer, Emmy Award-winning 11Alive News anchor and Johns Creek resident.

Just think: the award-winning Chattahoochee and Northview high school marching bands can finally strut their stuff for their hometown – a first for them and many others who'll be walking or riding the 1.3 mile parade route west from W. Morton Road to Kimball Bridge Road.

Join your neighbors in the parade by building a HOA float, or walking with your favorite Scout troop or showing off your vintage car. Creativity is encouraged and welcomed!

You can fill out the parade application here. It is due Friday, November 16.

Other Founders Day 2007 activities include a visit to Newtown Park by Santa at 3 pm and "Lights for Sight," a musical holiday lighting extravaganza that evening, benefiting Georgia Prevent Blindness.
