City marks incorporation vote anniversary at Town Hall meeting

7/11/2007

It was a year ago that Johns Creek voters overwhelmingly cast their ballots in favor of incorporation. Mayor Mike Bodker invites residents to join him and City Council members in marking the occasion with a brief ceremony as part of the mayor's next Town Hall meeting on July 18, the one-year anniversary of the referendum election.

The mayor will present proclamations to a number of volunteers whose work was instrumental in the city's formation, including members of the Committee for Johns Creek Organization, Citizens of Newtown and the Johns Creek Community Association. An anniversary cake and commemorative lapel pins will help round out the celebration.

The anniversary activities begin at 7 pm, followed by the Town Hall meeting, which will include discussion of the fiscal year 2007 mid-year budget and the upcoming FY 2008 budget. While those topics will be up for discussion, the mayor welcomes questions on any and all topics. In order to better address your questions or thoughts, please submit them in advance to .

The Town Hall meeting takes place in the City Council Chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 12000 Findley Road, Suite 300, Johns Creek, GA 30097. Call 678-512-3200 for more information.
