Smoke Advisory
5/13/2007
The National Weather Service said changing winds have carried smoke from wildfires in south Georgia to Atlanta and its suburbs. Residents with respiratory-related illnesses should try to stay indoors.
Dry Conditions
Continuing dry conditions have raised concerns about fires caused by arson or disposed cigarettes. The Georgia Forestry Commission has requested that residents report any suspicious people in the woods, any ongoing fire or any controlled burn unattended by firefighters. To report wildfires call 911. To report arson or arsonists call 1-800-GA-TREES.
