Johns Creek saw another first Sunday, Feb. 18, with the City's "inaugural baseball game" between the Johns Creek Jaguars and the Northview Jr. Titans. Mayor Bodker threw the opening pitch for the two 13U travel baseball teams that afternoon at Newtown Park as parents and fans cheered the teams on to a 2-2 tie.

Fulton County Commissioner Lynne Riley and Johns Creek City Council members Randall Johnson and Ivan Figueroa joined in for the ceremony, which marked the opening of the spring sports season in the City's parks.

The Johns Creek Jaguars are the first area sports team to adopt the City's name as part of its moniker. Their head coach is Roy Wronker. For more information on the Jaguars, visit their website.
