2/2/2007

If you are over the age of 65 and you're a homeowner in Johns Creek you should apply to the Fulton County Tax Assessors Office by March 1 for the City of Johns Creek's $15,000 Senior Basic Homestead Exemption that has NO income requirements.

This is one of several homestead exemptions being offered by the City of Johns Creek in 2007 for citizens who own and occupy their home as a primary residence as of January 1, 2007.

City of Johns Creek homestead exemptions (except the Senior Basic) correspond to similar ones in Fulton County. Therefore, arrangements have been made with the Fulton County Board of Assessors for Johns Creek residents to not have to reapply for the City's exemptions, so long as they've applied for the corresponding Fulton County exemptions by March 1, 2007.

Contact the Fulton County Board of Tax Assessors at 404-224-0102 or view http://www.fultonassessor.org/ for more information.
