City of Johns Creek holds Incorporation Day activities Friday, Dec. 1

In recognition of its official incorporation Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, the City of Johns Creek will welcome residents and visitors alike to the new city that day with shiny new "Welcome to Johns Creek" road signs.
The first sign will go up at a 10 am ceremonial installation on the south side of State Bridge Road, just west of Kimball Bridge Road in front of the Publix shopping center at 4305 State Bridge Road.
Johns Creek Mayor Mike Bodker and City Council members Randall Johnson, Karen Richardson, Liz Hausmann and Bev Miller will participate in the ceremonial sign planting.
Other planned activities include a 3 pm presentation of an American flag flown over the US Capitol during Johns Creek's inauguration to the Mayor and City Council by US Rep. Tom Price (6th-GA).
