Founders Day Parade means rerouting traffic Dec. 1 starting at 8 am
Changes impact State Bridge Road from Medlock Crossing to Kimball Bridge
JOHNS CREEK, Georgia—November 19, 2007—Various portions of State Bridge Road from Medlock Crossing Parkway to Kimball Bridge Road will be closed between 8 am and noon for the City of Johns Creek Founders
Day Parade December 1, part of a fun-filled, family-oriented celebration of the City's first birthday.
Parade planners are staggering closure times along the 1.3-mile route to minimize the impact to area residences and businesses. The closures along State Bridge are as follows:
- East Morton to West Morton, 8 am-noon
- West Morton to Jones Bridge Road, 9 am-noon
- Intersection of Jones Bridge Road (both north and southbound lanes), 9:45 am-noon
- Jones Bridge Road to Kimball Bridge Road, 9:45 am-noon
- Morton to Medlock Crossing Parkway, 9:45 am-noon
Closures include all side streets accessing State Bridge Road. The following detours are recommended:

In addition to the parade road closures, the eastbound lane of West Johns Crossing will be closed from McGinnis Ferry Road to Medlock Bridge Road from 3:30 to 7:30 pm for the Lights for Sight music and holiday light extravaganza.
