Heart ReadyAccording to the American Heart Association, every 26 seconds an American has a coronary incident and every 60 seconds someone dies from one.

CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is an emergency procedure in which the heart and lungs are made to work by manually compressing the chest overlying the heart and forcing air into the lungs. CPR is used to maintain circulation when the heart stops pumping, usually because of disease, drugs, or trauma.

JCFD AED / CPR training

The use of an AED (automated external defibrillator), a small, portable device that sends an electric shock to the heart and restores a patient's heart rhythm to normal levels, greatly increases the chance of survival.

JCFD AED / CPR training

The "Heart Ready" program offered by the JCFD, in collaboration with the American Heart Association and Emory Johns Creek Hospital, provides both CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and AED (automated external defibrillator) training to the public.
