Recruiting Letter from Chief Daniels
Dear Firefighter Applicant,
In the fire service profession we face daily challenges and work under incredibly dangerous condition, but the rewards we receive for doing our job well are extraordinary. There will be a tremendous amount of responsibility involved with being a Firefighter for the City of Johns Creek, the 10th largest city in the state of Georgia and one of Metro-Atlanta's newest municipalities.
The Johns Creek Fire Department will provide fire protection services to more than 70,000 people and nearly 2,000 businesses. This is a responsibility that we take very seriously.
As we begin the process of standing up a new Fire Department the staff recruitment and selection process is very important. The Johns Creek Fire Department is seeking courageous, dedicated individuals with extensive training and experience in all aspects of emergency services, and we hope that you are interested.
As a career Firefighter with the Johns Creek Fire Department you will face the daily challenges and enjoy the rewards of working in this profession. There will be a high level of interaction with our community, which will support our efforts.
As we proceed with the recruitment and selection process, we need to have a true understanding of each candidate's operational, leadership and management skills, as well as their commitment to this profession. Please come prepared to discuss these details.
There are 9 key steps in the application process. The most critical steps include: the background evaluation, psychological screening, polygraph examination, and physical agility tests.
We hope you will join our team as we work together as fire service professionals to make Johns Creek a safe and livable community.
Sincerely,
Joseph Daniels
