State Bridge Road repairs planned for Nov. 29, 30

One lane on State Bridge Road over the Chattahoochee River will be closed to complete repairs on Nov. 29 and 30. Motorists should expect delays and consider alternate routes. (See map from previous road closing.)

The Johns Creek Founders Day Parade will head down State Bridge Road the morning of Dec. 4. Motorists should consider alternate routes from about 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The parade route will be closed in three stages from east to west until the 1.4-mile route between Morton and Kimball Bridge roads is blocked off.

Closings include side streets along the route. Roadblocks will be lifted by 1 p.m.

  • 8 a.m. -- State Bridge Road between East and West Morton roads closed. Morton Road is shaped like a horseshoe with both sides crossing State Bridge Road. State Bridge Road travelers should use Morton as a detour around the closed section until 9 a.m.

  • 9 a.m. -- State Bridge Road from West Morton Road to Jones Bridge Road closed.

  • 10 a.m. -- State Bridge Road from Jones Bridge Road to Kimball Bridge Road closed.

The hospital, City Hall's next-door neighbor, holds a holiday festival on their campus Friday night before the parade. Enjoy music from school choruses, crafts, Johns Creek Fire Department ribs/Brunswick stew dinner plates on sale (to benefit Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation), and a visit with Santa. Also see their holiday light show along Hospital Parkway!

Emory Johns Creek Hospital is proud to partner with Johns Creek High School, Cub Scout Pack 4143, and the Johns Creek Fire Department.
