In conjunction with National Preparedness Month, "Super CPR Saturday" returns Sept. 18 with free lifesaving classes for residents and business owners in how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use an automated external defibrillator. Read more.

City Council to consider budget Sept. 13

The City Council is scheduled to vote on a $55.6 million budget at 7 p.m. Sept. 13 following a public hearing. The property tax rate will remain at 4.614 mills. Read more.

The Founders Day Parade keeps getting bigger and better so apply early! Last year, the parade had 82 groups and 1,400 participants. The event is Dec. 4, but the deadline is Nov. 12. For more information call 678-512-3351. Application.

All City administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6, in observance of Labor Day, reopening for normal business hours at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 7.
