Batter up for adult co-ed softball season
Registration takes place Aug. 10-21 and is limited to the first eight teams to sign up; registration fee is $50. Games are held Tuesday nights from Sept. 15 through Nov. 10 at Ocee Park. Read more. |
Fitness boot camps to continue
The Recreation and Parks Division is continuing the popular fitness boot camps at Newtown Park. Sign up for a month, a week or day. Sessions are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 5:30, 6:30 and 9:30 a.m. |
Fall Festival
The 2009 Fall Family Festival takes place Saturday, Sept. 12, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at Newtown Park. Hosted by the Johns Creek Recreation and Parks Division and Newtown Recreation, the event includes carnival games, moonwalk, music, food, and more. Swim team scores 36 medals at state meet
The 68 City State Swim Team members under the direction of coaches Kevin Cargill and Christian Atkinson brought home 27 individual and nine relay medals, including five first, second and third place finishes in the finals of the Georgia Recreation and Park Association State Swim Meet July 24-25 in Carrollton. Mayor re-elected chair of Metro association

National Night Out Aug. 4 at Rivermont
Rivermont County Club hosts the 26th National Night Out Against Crime, Tuesday, Aug. 4, 6-9 p.m. at the driving range on Rivermont Parkway. The Johns Creek Police and Fire departments will participate along with other local and state law enforcement agencies.
