Johns Creek Police will set up sobriety check points at undisclosed times and places across the City, joining state and national "impaired driving enforcement" initiatives. Read more.

The Johns Creek Police Traffic Unit will increase enforcement throughout July, focusing on drivers exhibiting two major contributing factors for accidents - following too closely and speeding. Read more.

The City of Johns Creek's first Recreation and Parks Master Plan also will review arts, cultural and heritage programs in the City, and officials again want to hear from its citizens on the topic. Read more.

Watering restrictions eased

Johns Creek residents can take advantage of outdoor water use three days a week on an odd and even-numbered schedule following the Georgia Environmental Protection Division's recent order that outdoor water use is now on a "non-drought" schedule. Read more.

Qualify for City elections Aug. 31-Sept. 4

Throw your hat in the ring

Qualifying for the Nov. 3 City of Johns Creek elections for Mayor and Council Post 1, Post 3 and Post 5 is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 31 through Friday, Sept. 4, between the hours of 8:30 am and 12:30 pm and 1:30 to 4:30 pm. Read more.

Johns Creek firefighters recently participated in technical rescue training drills, while being critiqued by a Georgia Fire Academy Technical Rescue Assessment Team. Read more.

Community welcomes new JC high school

The new 321,000 square foot facility was on display June 20, when the community got its first look during an open house attended by hundreds of students and parents. Read more.

Revenue offers ways to do business online

Visa & MasterCard

The Revenue Division now offers online access to existing alcohol license, pouring permit, business certificate and excise tax accounts to pay outstanding balances. Individuals or businesses may also update their mailing address, phone number, owner address information and officers through this service.

Over the next several weeks these services will expand to include renewal payments for pouring permits, excise taxes and business tax certificates.

No burning allowed!

Georgia Burn Ban in effect

A state-mandated Burn Ban on all outdoor burning is in effect from May 1 through September 30 in many parts of Georgia, including Johns Creek. Read more.

4th of July Holiday observed Friday, July 3

All City offices will be closed July 3 in observance of Independence Day, reopening for normal business hours at 8:30 am Monday, July 6.
