City Web site gets extreme makeover

www.JohnsCreekGA.gov makeover

The City recently launched our new Web site. If you've not been on it yet we invite you to visit www.JohnsCreekGA.gov and check it out.

It has significantly more information about the City and people who serve you, with enhanced navigation to find that information. It also expands your ability to conduct business with the City online. We plan to add to these offerings over the next several weeks.

Coming soon: an A-to-Z Service Index and an "I want to..." feature. Both allow you to quickly find the information you're seeking based on your specific needs. We welcome any feedback or questions.

2007-2008 Annual Report

'Report to Community' now available

Download your copy here. Read about the City's accomplishments since its founding, about City departments and their responsibilities in serving you, as well as fiscal year budget information.

Police to raise funds for Special Olympics

Special Olympics

Johns Creek Police will join 1,000 other Georgia law enforcement agencies this May in the annual "Law Enforcement Torch Run" for Special Olympics Georgia.

In conjunction with the run, the JCPD will host a round-the-clock "Cops on Shop" sit-in at Garrison's Broiler & Tap rooftop May 1 to May 3, and a Special Olympics Golf Tournament at the Standard Club on May 18.

April 1 deadline to file Homestead Exemptions

home-ownership expenses

City homeowners have until April 1 to file Homestead Exemption applications with Fulton County. Only those who have not applied previously or qualify for new exemptions need to fill out the paperwork.

There are four categories of exemptions:  Basic, Senior Basic, Additional Senior and Full Value. Applications must be filed with the Fulton County Board of Assessors, not the City. Read more.

Time to renew business tax certificates

certificate

Businesses in the City have until March 31 to renew their business tax certificates by submitting a business tax return with full payment of all fees and taxes due. Renewal applications were mailed in December.

Failure to receive a renewal application does not relieve a business of its responsibility to pay the tax in full by the deadline. Late payments are subject to a 10 percent penalty and interest of 1.5 percent a month. Questions? Contact Revenue, 678-512-3200.
