The Johns Creek Community

Johns Creek was incorporated in 2006. It is a suburban community of approximately 70,050* people in a 32 square mile area located 30 miles northeast of Atlanta. The City government provides the majority of services, including Police and Fire. It has a City Council/City Manager form of government.

There are many community resources available to serve residents, visitors and businesses, including libraries & cultural facilities, local media and medical facilities.

Johns Creek is known for its vibrant neighborhoods, the majority of which have been developed since the 1980s. For many years, the area was a rural farming community.

Though a new municipality, the City of Johns Creek has already begun to identify steps we can take to try to achieve sustainability throughout our municipal services and operations.
