
Johns Creek was incorporated in 2006. It is a suburban community of approximately 70,050* people in a 32 square mile area located 30 miles northeast of Atlanta. The City government provides the majority of services, including Police and Fire. It has a City Council/City Manager form of government.

Johns Creek is known for its vibrant neighborhoods, the majority of which have been developed since the 1980s. For many years, the area was a rural farming community.
