Are the public schools in Johns Creek run by the City?

No. All public schools in Johns Creek are part of the Fulton County School System, which was founded in 1871 and is one of the oldest and largest school districts in Georgia.

Some public elementary schools and some child development centers in Johns Creek offer the Georgia Pre-K program. Please check with your area public elementary school or find a Pre-K program in your area.    Because participation is voluntary on the part of both public schools and private child development centers, there may not be enough spaces in every community for all four year olds who wish to participate.

HOPE – Helping Outstanding Pupils Educationally – is Georgia's scholarship and grant program. It offers students who've demonstrated academic achievement financial assistance in degree, diploma and certificate programs at eligible Georgia colleges, universities and technical colleges.

HOPE Scholarships awarded for college students attending Georgia public institutions cover tuition, HOPE-approved mandatory fees and a book allowance. Partial tuition is covered for Georgia private institutions.
