Located in the northeastern most tip of Fulton County, Johns Creek is represented by a Mayor and City Council elected at-large. The City Manager serves as the City's chief administrative officer and is responsible to Mayor and Council for the efficient and proper administration of the City's affairs.
The City Attorney is nominated by the Mayor and ratified by Council. He/she is responsible for representing and defending the City in all litigation in which the City is a party and also serves as the prosecuting officer in the municipal court. Custodian of the official City seal is the City Clerk, who maintains all City Council records.
Several volunteer citizens-based boards and commissions aid the administration of the City's government. These boards and commissions are appointed by the Mayor and City Council.
