Fulton County Schools The public elementary, middle and high schools in Johns Creek are part of the Fulton County School System, one of the oldest and largest school districts in Georgia.

Students new to Johns Creek must register prior to attending any public school in the City.

The System's governing body is the Fulton County Board of Education, which legislates the System's policies that are then executed by the School Superintendent and staff. Board members are elected by district and serve four year terms.

Districts 2 & 5 map Johns Creek overlaps both District 5 and District 2 and is represented by Board members Ashley Widener and Katie Reeves, respectively. They can be reached at widenera@fultonschools.org and reevesk@fultonschools.org.

Beginning with the 2009/2010 school year, there will be four high schools, four middle schools and 11 elementary schools serving the residents of Johns Creek:

High Schools: Centennial, Chattahoochee, Johns Creek (new), Northview
Middle Schools: Autrey Mill, Haynes Bridge, River Trail, Taylor Road
Elementary Schools: Abbotts Hill, Barnwell, Dolvin, Findley Oaks, Hillside, Medlock Bridge, Northwood, Ocee, Shakerag, State Bridge Crossing, Wilson Creek

Though Centennial High School, Hillside Elementary School and Northwood Elementary School are located in Roswell and Haynes Bridge Middle School is located in Alpharetta, they are included here because a number of students attending these schools reside in Johns Creek. Fulton County Schools' attendance zones do not follow city boundaries.

Each of these high schools and their elementary and middle feeder schools comprise a Cluster within the Cluster Advisory Council of the Fulton County School System.

Pre-K
Georgia provides publicly funded Pre-K programs for children (4 years of age) at private daycare facilities and at some public elementary schools. (Check directly with the elementary school to see if they offer Pre-K programs, as not all do.)
