Final Movies in the Park Oct. 3 features 'Ice Age 3'

The long-range weather forecast for Johns Creek calls for a 100 percent chance of snow on Oct. 3.
In honor of the finale in the City's 2009 "Movies in the Park" series, the Recreation and Parks Division will have a snow machine on hand to celebrate the evening's feature presentation "Ice Age 3" at Newtown Park. That is in addition to the usual array of activities including a moonwalk and slide, face painting, carnival games and more.
Food vendors are on hand but viewers are welcome to bring their own picnic fare (although no alcohol is permitted). Be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair, too.
The event is free. Activities begin at 6 p.m. with the movie starting about 7:30.
