9/1/2009
Following their successful fundraising campaign for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Governor Sonny Perdue last month recognized the Johns Creek Fire Department for their volunteer efforts.

Assistant Chief Emory Ramey and Fire Marshal Chad McGiboney represented the department at the Capitol as Perdue proclaimed Aug. 31 "Firefighter Appreciation Day" and thanked the firefighters for their volunteer efforts to help fund research of the genetic, degenerative disease.
The department collected $12,500 from the community for their first "Fill the Boot" drive for MDA.
